Tranquility (3840 x 2160, 1920 x 1080) Top down rendered NVIDIA Iray render of custom sculpted character Cecilia on a polished white floor. Originally the shot had no perspective but I ended up reworking the top view camera for a shot that would be great for bright desktop wallpapers. The floor plane is decorated with a sheet and a couple of pillows which settled into the scene with Dforce dynamic simulation. The character was posed in and another sheet layered on the body. It was interesting discovering better how Dforce works with this more simple concept. Changes to the cloth made predictable changes to the way it would wrap around the body as opposed to stretching. It is much easier than learning the principles with clothing as the object is just a flat sheet. Lighting complexity is minimal in this scene. I'm using global illumination for 90% of it. I added a lamp to brighten up her face. The final image is the wallpaper below but I did a key shot closer up at a smaller resolution and ended up liking that just the same. My biggest focus with the project was composition and color. It is simple but I thought the result was effective. This project contains graphic nudity. |
